Job summary

APC in West Orange, NJ seeks a Security Specialist to safeguard residents by managing access control, monitoring entrances, and logging activities.

Responsibilities include interacting with residents and vendors, tracking packages, reviewing cameras, handling requests, and supporting Property Managers. A high school diploma and SORA certification are required, with strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Able to lift and stand for long shifts; capable in all weather.
• Adherence to SOPs and security procedures.
• Experience with building access control and visitor management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and building management.
• Tracks all package deliveries and daily activities in the building software.
• Logs and informs residents of incoming visitors and directs them as needed.
• Maintains access control and reviews cameras to ensure resident safety.
• Manages administrative requests on behalf of Property Managers.
• Independently navigates, troubleshoots, and de-escalates unpredictable situations.
