We are seeking a proactive, highly professional Security Shift Supervisor to manage shift operations for an expansive, 100+ acre corporate campus in Deerfield, IL. Reporting directly to the Security Director , this role leads on-duty security personnel , manages campus access control and life-safety systems , and maintains high security and customer service standards across a high-profile corporate healthcare facility .

Key Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and motivate on-duty security officers to ensure strict adherence to corporate post orders, client policies, and safety protocols .

Conduct daily shift briefings (roll calls), assign patrol routes across multi-building facilities and expansive campus grounds, verify attendance, and adjust shift coverage in real time .

Deliver site-specific "on-the-job" and annual refresher training on emergency protocols, technology systems, and corporate customer service standards .

Perform random site inspections to ensure officers are actively patrolling, properly uniformed, and fully equipped .

Foster a respectful work environment through performance management, coaching, and staff recognition .

Campus Protection & Access Control

Enforce access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors as established by facility leadership .

Effectively operate and monitor access control systems, badging stations, visitor management platforms, and CCTV networks .

Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel are properly identified and credentials verified prior to campus entry .

Monitor departing traffic and property perimeters to guard against theft or unauthorized access .

Conduct comprehensive interior and exterior patrols of corporate office spaces, multi-level stairwells, parking facilities, and surrounding grounds under all weather conditions .

Serve as the primary on-shift responder for emergency situations, life-safety alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches .

Accurately record and log data regarding incidents, property damage, equipment issues, and visitor/package tracking for company and facility management .

Provide exceptional customer service to corporate executives, employees, and campus guests .

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Security License if required by state, driver’s license as applicable.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Other Qualifications: Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must maintain a working telephone number though which we can contact you.

Physical Demands: The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.A list of thesejob duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
