Description

The Security Shift Supervisor works under the supervision of the Department's chain of command. Performs security duties through professional interaction with the public, patients, employees, and administrators. Responds to calls, provides support in emergencies, investigates hazards and incidents, patrols designated areas, and supervises security personnel. Ensures safety, maintains equipment, and participates in customer service and security-related activities.

Location: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively patrol assigned areas, investigate suspicious activity, respond to emergencies, and report hazards.
• Participate in activities such as transport of bodies, patient escort, safety checks, and event setups.
• Respond appropriately to alarms and emergencies, administer first aid as trained, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in security or law enforcement, or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications and licenses, including a valid security officer's license and driver's license
• Experience in healthcare security or related fields

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in security or law enforcement
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Additional certifications such as BLS, FEMA ICS-300, and specialized security training
