Schedule and Location:

• Full-Time, Night Shift: 6pm to 6am
• Location: AdventHealth Waterman, 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares, FL 32778

Role Overview:

The Security Shift Supervisor reports to the Department's chain of command. Responsibilities include providing security services through professional interactions, responding to calls, investigating hazards and incidents, patrolling designated areas, supervising shift operations, and training staff. The role requires physical and psychological fitness and involves ensuring safety and security for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively patrol assigned areas and investigate suspicious activities.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, administer first aid as trained.
• Participate in additional activities such as transport of bodies, patient escort, safety checks, and event setups.
• Maintain communication with team and management, and respond appropriately to alarms and incidents.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Associate’s degree in security or law enforcement, or
• Technical college certificate in criminal justice, or
• Three years healthcare security experience, or
• Five years security/military/law enforcement experience as a substitute

Certifications: IAHSS CHSS, BLS, Florida Class E Driver’s License.

Preferred:

• Five years supervisory experience in security or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in security or law enforcement
• Experience with Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)
• Additional safety and management certifications
