Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Security Assistant Shift Manager to oversee security officers on the shift, ensuring proper staffing and that officers meet performance expectations while maintaining guest and employee safety.

You will coordinate scheduling, investigations, and escalation with management, and ensure compliance with state laws, gaming regulations, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of prior working experience in a similar resort/casino environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage security officers, department operations, and support staff, including interviewing and scheduling.
• Plan, develop and direct staff assignments and station coverage.
• Promote a safe environment and enforce policies and regulatory requirements.
• Act as liaison with outside agencies during security incidents.
• Assist management with on-site investigations and supervise investigations as needed.
• Monitor and support security-related processing.
• Address guest questions or concerns promptly and escalate as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and reported threats with proper escalation.
