Job Description

1. Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and manage employees to ensure proper staffing and that staff receive adequate guidance, training, and resources to meet department objectives.
2. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to ensure effective supervision.
3. Establish and maintain training and development procedures to achieve high guest service standards.
4. Resolve guest complaints and ensure the highest level of guest service at all times.
5. Schedule transportation for 'for cause' drug/alcohol testing as needed.
6. Support other departments in implementing and maintaining procedures for Games, Slots, Cashiers, drops, etc.
7. Ensure proper arrest procedures and detainment techniques are followed in cases of criminal law violations.
8. Follow all company and departmental procedures; cooperate with local, state, and federal authorities during investigations.
9. Maintain current information on local criminal activity to protect assets, guests, and staff; develop communication with law enforcement and security personnel.
10. Support departmental management during sensitive or dangerous situations involving terminations, thefts, or guest issues.
11. Act as On-Scene Leader reporting to the Security Manager during life safety emergencies to ensure safety of guests, employees, and property.
12. Stay informed on criminal and civil laws relevant to Belterra; conduct investigations as needed.
13. Prepare, complete, and review reports on security incidents to keep management informed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
• At least one (1) year experience in supervision.

Basic knowledge of Indiana civil and criminal laws and Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
