Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee the security shift, ensuring the safety of guests, Team Members, and assets at our Derby City Gaming & Hotel facilities.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years security experience, a related 2-year degree or equivalent, and the ability to obtain a Racing License. Strong leadership, communication, and incident investigation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of security guard or law enforcement experience preferred.
• A related 2-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security shift to ensure safety of guests and Team Members.
• Supervise programs to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Assist in recruitment, including job postings and metrics.
• Delegate duties and schedule staff across posts.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
• Investigate incidents and compile data for reporting and improvements.
• Schedule rotation of officers and conduct training sessions.
• Enforce policies and monitor compliance during shifts.
