Job summary

Moore Security Solutions, LLC is seeking a dependable, experienced Security Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial security and low-voltage systems in the Houston area. You will handle service calls, perform inspections, and communicate clearly with clients to keep systems running reliably.

Required are 2–4+ years in security or low-voltage service, strong troubleshooting across multiple platforms, and experience with Brivo or ZKTeco.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of security or low-voltage service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting across multiple system types.
• Experience with access control platforms (Brivo, ZKTeco, or similar).
• Knowledge of IP cameras, NVRs, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Perform routine service, maintenance, and system inspections
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Program and make system adjustments as needed (access control, cameras, alarms)
• Identify and resolve network-related issues affecting security systems
• Document service activities, including detailed notes, resolutions, and recommendations
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and office staff
• Recommend system upgrades or improvements when appropriate
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory

Moore Security Solutions is looking for a dependable and experienced Security Service Technician to handle service calls, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial security and low-voltage systems. This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who can diagnose issues in the field, communicate effectively with clients, and deliver high-quality service that keeps systems running reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Perform routine service, maintenance, and system inspections
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Program and make system adjustments as needed (access control, cameras, alarms)
• Identify and resolve network-related issues affecting security systems
• Document service activities, including detailed notes, resolutions, and recommendations
• Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and office staff
• Recommend system upgrades or improvements when appropriate
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory

Qualifications:

• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple system types
• Experience with access control platforms (Brivo, ZKTeco, or similar)
• Knowledge of IP cameras, NVRs, and basic networking (IP addressing, PoE, routers/switches)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based access control systems
• Manufacturer certifications or training
• OSHA certification
• Experience servicing commercial and multi-site environments
