Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to oversee Supply Chain Risk Management for the Sentinel SSE program, located in Roy, UT. The role focuses on developing a comprehensive SCRM plan, driving risk identification and mitigation, and collaborating across SSE, Procurement, and Program Management.

Requires a STEM degree with 6–8 years of related experience, US citizenship, and active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI possible).

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance (recent investigation date within 6 years).
• 1+ year of experience managing to cost and schedule as CAM/WPL or equivalent.
• 1+ year of program/project management experience.
• Ability to obtain TS clearance with SCI.
• Experience developing or executing structured risk management processes (identification, analysis, mitigation, monitoring, reporting).
• Experience with NIST SP 800-161 and defense/critical-infrastructure environments.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute a holistic SCRM Plan across the program lifecycle.
• Identify, assess, track, and report supply chain risks; integrate into the System Risk Management Plan.
• Flow down SCRM and NIST SP 800-161 requirements to suppliers, subcontractors, integrators, and vendors.
• Establish processes to validate suppliers and authenticate components as genuine and unaltered.
• Define and oversee controls for secure shipping, storage, and handling to prevent counterfeit, tampering, and malware insertion.
• Coordinate with SSE Threat Analysis and Mitigation to address emerging supply chain threats.
• Present supply chain risk posture and status in technical reviews and program protection activities.
• Coach, support, train, and motivate team members to ensure performance.
