Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Screening Intake Specialist in Indianapolis, IN. You will conduct screening, monitor access points, and assist with security operations at a fast-paced logistics location. The role emphasizes customer service and professional presence.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $17.22 per hour. Schedule includes night shifts and weekends as listed. Join a team that values integrity, reliability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with applicable procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, authorizations, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter areas.
