Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Security Officer Screening Intake Specialist to support screening and access control at a busy logistics location. You will deliver customer service, screen people and shipments, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents with professional communication.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $17.22 per hour. A high school diploma is required, and employment is subject to background checks and a drug screen; driver licensing applies if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Loss prevention or access control experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Subject to background check and drug screening.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and shipments per procedures and access-control rules.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials and delivery documentation before access.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, docks, access points, and perimeter areas.
