Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. seeks a dedicated security professional to maintain a visible safety presence across the supply chain location. You will validate building security, monitor access points, and engage drivers to ensure compliant inbound/outbound processes.

You will also conduct regular audits, patrols, and incident reporting, coordinating with leadership and law enforcement as needed. A driver’s license, security license, and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• 1 year retail, security, first-responder, or military experience.
• 1 year big-box retail, security, or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and proactive physical security and safety presence throughout the assigned supply chain location to ensure Lowe’s Safe environment.
• Validates physical security of the building per company policy throughout the day (gates, doors, access control, perimeter).
• Engagement with over-the-road and dedicated fleet drivers including inbound and outbound processes in compliance with CTPAT.
• Perform regular safety and physical security audits using hand-held devices.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior premises to identify security concerns, on foot or in a company-owned vehicle.
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors using professional techniques.
• Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, and emergencies (medical, fire alarms).
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies and procedures.
• Report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches to Leadership.
• Use case management system to complete detailed incident reports with descriptions, involved individuals, and actions taken.
• Monitor CCTV to detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings to stay informed about updates and changes.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses as required by Lowe’s.
• Participate in court hearings, if applicable, and update case files; maintain relations with local law enforcement.
