Job summary

CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI, seeks a Safety and Security staff member to maintain a safe, orderly building. Under the direct supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator, you will screen entrants and monitor activity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid Michigan driver's license. You may work at other CMHA-CEI sites as needed; salary ranges from $19.85 to $22.23 per hour with shift incentives.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand/walk long hours.
• CPR/First Aid certification required annually.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals entering the building and maintain a safe, orderly atmosphere.
• Monitor consumer and visitor activity and discourage violence of any kind.
• Carry out all activities of the program/sub-unit in accordance with CMHA-CEI policies.
