Job summary

CMHA-CEI is seeking a security/attendant role in Lansing, MI to maintain a safe, orderly environment and monitor activity within the building. The position requires crisis intervention capabilities, physical stamina, and CPR/First Aid certification renewed annually.

Salary ranges from $19.85 to $22.23 per hour with shift incentives for evenings, nights, and weekends. A valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation are required, with possible work at other CMHA-CEI sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer consumers up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must recertify in CPR/First Aid each year.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
• May be required to perform job functions at other CMHA-CEI work sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere in the building, screen individuals entering the building, discourage physical violence, and monitor consumer and visitor activity.
• Carry out all activities of the program/sub-unit in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.
