Job summary

Ceicmh in Lansing, MI is seeking a Security/Safety Attendant to maintain a safe, orderly atmosphere in the building under the supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator. You will screen entrants, discourage violence, and monitor activities in accordance with CMHA-CEI policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to perform crisis intervention as needed, physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid Michigan driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform crisis intervention as needed (Therapeutic Options A & Therapeutic Options B on an Emergency basis).
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds and assist consumers as needed.
• CPR/First Aid certification required annually.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals entering the building to maintain a safe environment.
• Discourage any form of physical violence.
• Monitor consumer and visitor activity.
• Carry out program activities per CMHA-CEI policies.
• Work under the supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator.
