Job summary

Team San Jose is seeking a Safety and Security Manager to lead the Safety and Security Department across SJCC, parking garage, and surrounding venues. You will supervise officers, enforce SOPs, and coordinate dispatch operations while reporting to the Director of Safety, Security and Parking.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in security and at least two years in leadership, holds a valid Security Guard Card, and is prepared to respond to emergencies with calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Security Guard Card License.
• Minimum five years of security knowledge and experience.
• Minimum two years of security leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Safety and Security Department.
• Supervise security officers and ensure proper conduct.
• Review and enforce SOPs.
• Create weekly schedules and manage attendance.
• Coordinate with Police, Fire, and Ambulance during emergencies.
• Oversee dispatch operations and security personnel at SJCC and venues.
• Conduct site inspections with clients and meetings with vendors.
• Prepare safety trainings and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Assist with incident reporting and internal investigations.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
