Job summary

University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School seeks a Security and Safety Aide to assist, monitor, and respond to security needs on the campus. Under direct supervision, you will deter crime and protect people, property, and assets across the hospital and school.

Responsibilities include building rounds, securing entrances, monitoring alarms and surveillance, handling badge issuance, responding to incidents, providing first aid, and supporting dispatch and law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in public safety or customer service.
• Good communication with employees, patients and visitors.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security checks of buildings and monitor premises.
• Oversee entry/exit control and badge issuance; respond to alarms.
• Provide First Aid and assist dispatch and police as needed.
