Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Security & Risk Intern to join the Gigafactory teams in Sparks, Nevada. The paid summer internship spans 12 weeks and focuses on security across physical, information, and business continuity domains.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a four-year college or university.
• Minimum two years of full-time enrollment toward a Bachelor's degree.
• GPA 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and reporting on security issues.
• Identify and mitigate risk across the organization.
• Coordinate with business functions to meet security needs with minimal production disruption.
• Manage and access video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
• Respond to security events under supervision.
• Help manage projects and initiatives to reduce risk.
• Develop project plans and tasks with managers.
• Communicate project expectations and progress.
