Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking ambitious Security and Risk interns to join the world's largest lithium ion battery initiative at the Gigafactory in De Soto, Kansas. You'll become part of a corporate security culture focused on protecting people, products, and ideas.

You'll gain experience across Technical Security, Physical Security, Access Control, Information Security, and Business Continuity. The 12-week full-time paid internship runs May 17–Aug 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at a four-year college or university.
• Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment (12 credits per semester).
• GPA 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools.
• Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Utilize monitoring and reporting to assess and report on security concerns.
• Identify and mitigate risk across the organization.
• Coordinate with functions to meet security needs without disrupting production.
• Manage and access video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
• Respond to security events under supervision of security management.
• Develop project plans and tasks with managers.
• Communicate project expectations, planning, and follow-through.
