Reporting to the Associate Warden of Operations, the primary purpose of the Security Risk Group (SRG) Lieutenant for the facility is to manage the day to day functions related to the Security Risk Group (SRG) population and serve as the lead for the facility in working with SRG intel. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
As of January 01, 2025, the new salary range will be $43,738 - $76,542.

Columbus Correctional Institution is located in Whiteville, North Carolina and houses up to 698 male offenders in a medium custody facility.

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience as a Correctional Sergeant

Two years of experience as a Correctional Sergeant III

Necessary Special Qualifications:
MUST be eligible for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission.
