This position is assigned to Eastern Correctional Institution, located in Maury NC, Greene County.
The primary purpose of the Security Risk Group (SRG) Lieutenant for the facility is to manage the day-to-day functions related to the Security Risk Group (SRG) population and serve as the lead for the facility in working with SRG intel. The position will:
“As of January 1, 2025, there are new increase adjustments to the state’s pay plans which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 1, 2025. The new salary range(s) will be $43,738 - $76,542.”
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
Note to Current State Employees: The salary grade for this position is NC11. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.

Documented experience of the methods and procedures of discipline and rehabilitation of offenders confined to a correctional facility.
Knowledgeable in emergency response procedures.
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience as a Correctional Sergeant, or two years of experience as a Correctional Sergeant III; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Special Qualifications: Must be eligible for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission.
