Job summary

The State of North Carolina’s Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Lieutenant III (S) at Pasquotank Correctional Institution in Elizabeth City. You will lead the SRG Intelligence Team, manage SRG related operations, and coordinate with facility leadership to ensure safe, secure, and orderly operations.

This role requires experience with SRG, discipline and rehabilitation of offenders, and strong knowledge of emergency response procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with discipline and rehabilitation of offenders in a correctional facility.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• Experience working with Security Risk Group (SRG) populations and intel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SRG intelligence team at the facility level.
• Maintain accumulative information on activities or persons posing risk to public, staff, or facility operations.
• Provide security, supervision and gathering of intelligence for SRG related incidents.
• Oversee SRG investigation processes at the facility level.
• Monitor trends, validation, and progress of SRG programs.
• Serve as liaison to the Division of Institutions and interact with facility staff daily on SRG matters.
• Act as primary resource and SME for SRG duties for facility staff.
• Complete SRG, Disciplinary, Incident, Use of Force, and Accident Reports within timelines.
• Ensure offenders are moved safely and orderly through the institution.
