Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security, life safety, and building automation systems. Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, test, repairs, and services a variety of non-routine systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
• Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures; interprets manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions; writes non-routine programs.
• Acts as our customer’s best service provider at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and escalating only the most complex issues.
• Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
• May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance and installation techniques.
• Executes technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets including programming, start-up, training, and close-out documentation.
• Identifies potential project risks and assists in strategy to minimize impact and control costs and deadlines.
• Works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate projects and improve quality and customer satisfaction.
• Mentors less experienced staff and may supervise testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment for optimum performance.
