Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on assigned projects. You will work as part of a dynamic team, interfacing with customers to maximize satisfaction and support ongoing service across varied security and life-safety systems.

The role requires the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals, plus hands-on use of test instruments and hand tools.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years relevant field service preferred.
• Programming and troubleshooting skills with Lenel, Softwarehouse, Genetec, Milestone, Hanwha, and AXIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of security, fire and life safety, and/or building automation systems with guidance as needed.
• Acts as the primary customer interface for technical support and training to maximize satisfaction.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
• Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
• Performs project coordination with Project/Operations Managers and supports ongoing customer satisfaction.
