Job description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Specialist 2 to join our dynamic culture. In this role, you will install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including both small and large complex projects. What You’ll Do

1. Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to help grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture.
2. Install, program, test, repair, and service systems such as security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation, providing technical support and training to customers.
3. Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures and repair equipment using electronics knowledge and standard tools.
4. Operate systems to demonstrate, commission, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions; write routine programs.
5. Ensure customer satisfaction by acting as our customer’s best service provider and referring complex issues to higher-level colleagues.
6. Consult with engineering to resolve system operation issues and advise management on customer satisfaction and product performance.
7. Manage multiple projects, including programming, start-up, certification, training, documentation, and ongoing support.
8. Identify project risks, communicate with relevant parties, and help develop strategies to manage costs and deadlines.
9. Coordinate with Project and Operations Managers, recommend quality improvements, and suggest scope adjustments to enhance customer satisfaction.
10. Perform additional duties as required.

What You’ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure, proactively meeting customer needs.
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiar with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to travel locally regularly; minimal overnight travel possible.

Requirements

Education: High School/GED or equivalent

Experience:

• 5+ years in related industry
• CCTV experience: Milestone / Genetec
• Access Control: AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House - CCURE / S2
• Intrusion: DMP / Bosch
