Job Description

As a Security Professional - Front Desk Patrol in Germantown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and assisting with access control and badge procedures. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and clear communication. You will monitor entry points, respond to alarms, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Our team values reliability, agility, and innovation, always putting people first and working together with integrity to create a welcoming environment at the location.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, visitor logs, and any security-related incidents.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following instructions and protocols specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
