Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Screener in Tavares, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Security Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your presence and routine patrols will contribute to a visible deterrent, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support positive interactions with the public. This armed post requires you to carry out your duties with integrity and professionalism, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, reliability, and putting people first.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out screening procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and screening individuals as required by site protocols.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or policy violations according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any potential risks or hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Florida Security Professional Registration (Guard Card) is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
