Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Screener in Dade City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry designated equipment while conducting routine patrols and interacting with the public. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, supporting a positive environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue08:00 AM - 05:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Carry out screening procedures and follow site-specific policies for government locations.
• Provide customer service to individuals entering the premises, addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor entry points and screen individuals, belongings, or vehicles as required by site procedures.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, maintaining composure and clear communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License (FL: Armed SP Lic).
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
