Job summary

Todyl, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead two engineering teams responsible for the core security platforms, including the Detection Engine, TIP, SOAR, and Case Management.

You will own delivery quality, roadmaps, and partner-facing surfaces, while guiding architectural direction and standards. The role blends 80% people leadership with 20% technical contributions, shaping security workflows and agentic automation used by SOC and Threat Intelligence functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years in software or security engineering, including building security products or detection/response tooling.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams, including 8+ engineers or multiple teams.
• Experience developing team leads or first-line managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead two system-aligned engineering teams covering Detection Engine, TIP, SOAR, and Case Management.
• Own hiring, performance, coaching, and career development for the engineering group.
• Maintain a high technical bar through design reviews, code review standards, and architectural guidance.
• Define done: acceptance criteria signed off by SOC, DE, TI.
• Own production operations: on-call, incidents, SLOs, reliability engineering.
• Own roadmap and quarterly planning for the Detection Engine, TIP, SOAR, and Case Management.
• Set architectural direction for streaming detection, intelligence pipelines, and automation.
• Collaborate with security practitioners and AI/ML teams on telemetry and workflows.
• Ensure data, APIs, and integration points are robust for AI SOC capabilities.
