Tusker Construction Group is seeking a hands-on Security Operations Engineer with 3+ years of experience to administer and support customer-facing security platforms. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage production environments, and contribute to upgrades and automation.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of professional IT/security experience.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise environments beyond Tier 1/2.
• Strong Windows knowledge and TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and support customer-facing security platforms and operational technologies.
• Handle Tier 3 escalations by analyzing logs, configurations, connectivity, integrations, and system behavior to restore service.
• Independently resolve technical issues and escalate as needed for architectural or business-critical matters.
• Assist with planning and testing platform upgrades, patches, and releases; execute changes and maintenance.
• Support new-client onboarding by configuring platform components, agents, policies, and integrations.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and automation.
• Investigate and resolve outages with internal teams and vendors to restore service.
• Maintain runbooks, procedures, troubleshooting notes, and documentation.
• Collaborate with SOC, Service Desk, client experience managers, IT operations, vendors, and senior engineers.
• Apply security-first mindset and follow change management and governance requirements.
