Job summary

Twitch Security Platform is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate critical services and pipelines powering Twitch's security, privacy, and compliance programs.

You will own projects end-to-end—from design through deployment—working across Security, Identity, Privacy, and Infrastructure to deliver reliable, scalable backend systems and tooling for a safer live platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years building and operating production backend services with end-to-end ownership.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python and strong systems design.
• Hands-on AWS experience with IaC and production deployments.
• Strong cross-team communication and ability to lead multi-service projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver well-scoped software projects end-to-end, from design through production support.
• Partner across Security, Identity, Privacy, and Infrastructure on Twitch-wide initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence: observability, reliability, and operational readiness for critical systems.
• Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and clear technical decision-making.
• Participate in retrospectives and technical discussions, influencing decisions through leadership.
