Job summary

Titan Security is hiring Security Patrol Officers in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The role includes guarding a plant, controlling access, and performing vehicle and foot patrols to prevent security violations.

Responsibilities include verifying credentials, monitoring cameras, logging activities, and responding to incidents. TWIC card and NRC certification are preferred; a drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
• NRC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the plant through gate operations, verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Checking vehicle passes to make sure the vehicles are allowed on property.
• Checking semi trucks paperwork and directing them to the proper Gate.
• Understanding Marsec (Maritime Security) procedures.
• Conduct Marsec vehicle inspections.
• Conduct general patrols on foot and within a vehicle to check for security violations like unsafe conditions or unauthorized persons.
• Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required.
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and TitanSecurity management.
• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.
• Other duties as assigned
