Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Huntington Beach, CA. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with anchor shifts and an option to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports; communicate information to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Flex Mall Center in Huntington Beach, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
