Job summary

Signal of Portland in Milwaukie, OR seeks a Security Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day security operations for our client. You will lead training, coaching, staffing, and performance development to ensure service quality and contractual compliance.

Responsibilities include shift coverage, incident reporting, site inspections, and driving process improvements. The role requires flexible weekends, holidays, and overnight availability, strong customer service, and teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Vaid Oregon Guard Card is required.
• Employment is contingent upon background check and drug screen.
• Complete training modules within first month.
• Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.
• Adapt to established procedures and help solve problems.
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall quality of service to assigned accounts/clients.
• Developing officers/Supervisors for success to impact Client service quality (training, scheduling, site instructions, oversight, coaching, and company communication).
• Perform routine site inspections to assess security measures and identify potential vulnerabilities or areas for improvement.
• Works to continuously improve processes, quality of service, and operational efficiency.
• Supports and oversees officer continued development and performance management.
• Ensures that all shifts are filled in advance accounting for time off requests.
• Daily review of activity and incident reports, communicating needs accordingly between clients and upper management.
• Works directly with the team members to improve their report writing on an ongoing basis.
• Responsible for overseeing maintenance and condition of all Retail Security site equipment.
• Organizes and hosts bi-weekly team meetings, weekly scorecards, operational priorities, delegation reviews, and client issues.
• Notifies management of issues in the field, or internally, for timely leadership follow up.
• Act as the primary point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring prompt and appropriate response to incidents.
• Provide ongoing training and guidance to security personnel, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle emergencies and follow best practices.
• Monitors company policies, procedures through spot checks and inspections.
• Issues disciplinary action in accordance with the employee handbook.
• Responsible for fostering a positive working environment through feedback and recognition programs.
• Communicate with management regularly to review scorecard, KPI results/goals, operational priorities, customer review, and internal needs.
