The Security Operations Specialist supports the safety, security, and operational integrity of Lantern Community Services' supportive housing portfolio. Reporting to the Sr. Security Operations Specialist, this role oversees security operations across multiple sites, including access control, incident response, reporting, and follow-up. The Security Operations Specialist works closely with program leadership, property management, and contracted security vendors to ensure buildings operate safely and efficiently. This position plays a key role in improving the quality of life for tenants and staff by maintaining strong safety protocols, providing training and coaching to site teams, and ensuring consistent operational standards across the housing portfolio.
This position operates in both office and field settings. The role requires frequent travel to supportive housing sites and other locations throughout New York City as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb stairs, and/or kneel. Occasionally, the employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
