Job summary

Ahtna, Inc. is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee the contract security guard team, monitor operations, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and federal security rules.

The role includes training management, staffing, onboarding, badge and access control support, reporting to COR and government staff, and maintaining SOPs and post orders. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years in security management or related field.
• 1-3 years supervisory or management experience.
• Experience managing security personnel, schedules, training, and contract compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security-related software systems.
• Valid driver's license with ability to operate Government or company vehicles.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervisory control of all security guards assigned to the contract.
• Monitors daily operations and performance of the guard force and conducts inspections for contract compliance.
• Ensures compliance with USGS security rules, directives, post orders, and SOPs.
• Serves as liaison with COR and Government staff; attends meetings and briefings.
• Maintains training records and administers training requirements.
• Oversees hiring-related actions, credentialing and onboarding.
• Establishes guard rosters and staffing schedules.
• Assists with badging and access control programs including PIV card administration.
• Manages the contractor employee safety program.
• Coordinates relief coverage for breaks and staffing shortages.
• Provides reports and documentation to the COR.
• Assists in developing and updating SOPs and post orders.
• Provides emergency response support and security-related actions as required.
• Supports EMT for Occupant Emergency Plan and COOP.
