The security guard is responsible for performing fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols, maintaining situational awareness, and making decisions or taking actions based on established post orders, facility rules, guidelines, and protocols. Duties may include working in austere and uncomfortable conditions for extended periods, including inclement weather, involving walking, standing, searching, surveillance, or sitting as required for security functions.

The pay rate for this position is $23.75/hour plus $4.93/hour H&W.

Applicants must possess a valid state-issued guard card prior to employment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of security, civilian law enforcement experience, or an equivalent position with the U.S. Armed Forces
• One year of work experience demonstrating the ability to follow directions, meet attendance requirements, and complete necessary training for state certification
• Fluent in speaking and writing English
• Ability to pass criminal background check, drug test, and physical exam
• Valid state-issued Guard card
