Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company oversees a Guard Lieutenant who supervises emergency and non-emergency activities of hourly guards at our facility in Iowa. You will direct daily operations, train staff, monitor CCTV, issue weapons, and enforce plant rules within security policies.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license or current passport.
• 2+ years related security experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass quarterly and yearly physical agility testing.
• Must be able to obtain secret clearance.
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with team members.
• Great attitude and team player!

Responsibilities

• Supervises Dispatcher, daily guard mounts, issues weapons and ammunition, performs personnel performance counseling, assigns vehicles, monitors CCTV, and conducts daily inventories.
• Directs daily activities while responsible for training, inspection, and performance of the hourly guard force.
• Maintains security processes and procedures; keeps up-to-date documents; issues daily written and verbal orders.
• Processes NCIC background checks, creates badges, and assists with lock and key processes as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of Plant rules and enforces them with the guard force.
