Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Officer 3 in Memphis to protect facilities and people in a high‑tech environment. You will patrol properties by vehicle or foot, conduct risk assessments, respond to emergencies, and coordinate security operations including VIP escort and transport of flight hardware.

This role requires seasoned security experience and readiness for night shifts and travel. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security, executive protection, or related fields, strong communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security
• 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency/awareness of static guard post duties
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers
• Conduct advanced research and analysis in support of SpaceX security missions
• Conduct and review risk assessments of critical SpaceX facilities
• Respond to emergency situations and provide on-scene leadership to others
• Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations
• Learn advanced skillsets including but not limited to: EMT, investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, security hardware
• Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders and key stakeholders in space industry
