Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis is seeking a Security Officer 3 to patrol company properties and oversee security operations in a high‑tech environment. The role includes night shifts (7PM–7AM) and responsibilities across post duties, training, and incident response.

Applicants should have strong experience in executive protection, risk assessment, and emergency response, with the ability to work with law enforcement, government screening, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security realm.
• 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency/awareness of static guard post duties
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers
• Conduct advanced research and analysis in support of SpaceX security missions
• Conduct and review risk assessments of critical SpaceX facilities
• Respond to emergency situations and provide on-scene leadership to others
• Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations
• Learn advanced skillsets including but not limited to: EMT, investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, security hardware
• Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders and key stakeholders in space industry
