Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Officer 3 in Memphis to oversee guard posts, coordinate training, and conduct risk assessments for critical facilities. The role requires leading teams, responding to emergencies, and coordinating domestic flight hardware transport.

Candidates should have 5+ years in security or related fields, plus 1+ year in executive protection or emergency response. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 5+ years of experience in military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security
• 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency/awareness of static guard post duties
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers
• Conduct advanced research and analysis in support of SpaceX security missions
• Conduct and review risk assessments of critical SpaceX facilities
• Respond to emergency situations and provide on-scene leadership to others
• Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations
• Learn advanced skillsets including EMT, investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, security hardware
• Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders and key stakeholders in space industry
