Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Officer 3 to join our high-tech security team in Austin. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation while ensuring compliance with laws and SpaceX regulations.

The role requires experience in security operations, emergency response, and executive protection, with a focus on integrity, teamwork and clear communication under demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security realm.
• 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency/awareness of static guard post duties.
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security officers.
• Conduct advanced research and analysis in support of SpaceX security missions.
• Conduct and review risk assessments of critical SpaceX facilities.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide on-scene leadership to others.
• Plan and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation operations.
• Learn advanced skillsets including but not limited to: EMT, investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, security hardware.
• Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders and key stakeholders in space industry.
