Job summary

Delaware County Community College (DCCC) seeks an Information Security Administrator to manage day-to-day security operations, monitor threats, and coordinate incident response in a higher-education setting.

The role focuses on vulnerability management, SIEM tuning, platform administration, risk management, and collaboration with IT teams, auditors, and external security partners; requires hands-on technical skills and commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of information security or IT infra experience, with hands-on incident response and vulnerability management.
• Experience operating SIEM/EDR, identity and MFA, email security, data security, and vulnerability management technologies.
• Scripting or automation experience required; security partners or higher education experience preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in IT/CS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security telemetry and act as first responder for detections and events; triage alerts and coordinate containment.
• Perform vulnerability management lifecycle, prioritize risks, and oversee remediation.
• Develop and maintain SIEM/detection capabilities, including correlation rules, dashboards, and alerting.
• Administer security platforms across endpoint protection, data security, MFA, email security, firewalls, and DNS filtering.
• Support identity and privileged-access security, including access reviews and MFA policy enforcement.
• Develop detections and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash and other tools; evaluate AI-assisted security outputs.
• Coordinate with vCISO, penetration testers, auditors and external security partners; track findings to remediation.
• Manage vendor risk via vendor-risk platform, HECVATs, and security questionnaires.
• Run security-awareness and phishing-simulation programs; deliver training and reports.
• Maintain incident documentation, evidence, chain of custody, and after-action reviews for leadership and auditors.
• Validate backup coverage and participate in disaster-recovery and business-continuity testing.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance, on-call rotation, and incident response on nights/weekends.
