Gwynedd Mercy University is seeking an Information Security Analyst to protect campus systems, data, and people within a collaborative IT team. The role emphasizes monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and improving security posture across endpoints, networks, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Strong cybersecurity fundamentals in endpoint security, IAM, and incident response.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM/logging platforms, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
• Bachelor’s degree welcome but not required with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, logs, endpoints, accounts and other sources; investigate events and take action.
• Serve as primary technical resource for cybersecurity incidents (phishing, compromised accounts, malware).
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across endpoints, servers, networks, apps, and cloud.
• Strengthen identity and access systems, MFA, privileged accounts, and lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with IT staff to improve overall security posture and risk management.
