Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee the Security Operations team on an assigned shift. The role includes directing officers, scheduling, training, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

You will report to Security Leadership and work in a healthcare environment, with responsibilities that include incident evaluation, emergency drills, and maintaining certifications. A Louisiana driver’s license and background in security or law enforcement are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 years in security, law enforcement, or military.
• Certifications: BLS, CPI, firearms training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activity and day-to-day operations of security staff on assigned shift.
• Provides guidance and leadership to security staff regarding departmental issues and policy enforcement.
• Evaluates serious security incidents and coordinates response and notifications.
• Completes security audits quarterly or as assigned.
• Ensures security reports are complete within established timeframes.
• Supports leadership in emergency response and drills.
• Maintains annual certifications and training requirements.
• Oversees scheduling to avoid unauthorized overtime.
• Performs other related duties as required.
