Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking an Information Security Administrator in Chicago to protect institutional data and technology resources. You will administer security technologies, support governance and compliance, and respond to security events with a focus on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Collaborating with IT leadership and business stakeholders, you will implement controls, monitor incidents, and help strengthen the organization’s security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5–7 years of work experience in information security or a related discipline.
• Security+ or equivalent certification, with advanced certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers, monitors, and maintains information security technologies and related tooling.
• Protects systems and applications handling sensitive data and regulatory information.
• Implements IAM controls, RBAC, and least-privilege access models.
• Monitors security alerts, investigates threats, and coordinates remediation activities.
• Conducts security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and configuration audits.
• Analyzes security incidents and supports containment and recovery actions.
• Supports development and maintenance of information security policies and standards.
• Assists with audits, regulatory reviews, and risk remediation planning.
• Maintains security documentation, reports, and records for compliance and audits.
