Job summary

AGS is seeking a Security Analyst in Duluth, GA to monitor security tooling, triage alerts, and support the governance, risk, and compliance program under the Senior IT Security Manager.

You will act as first responder to incidents, conduct phishing analyses, manage the risk register, and coordinate with IT ops, Legal, Compliance, HR, and business units to drive remediation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in information security or IT.
• Minimum 2 years in a security analyst or related role.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/XDR and incident response.
• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tooling, dashboards, and alert queues for indicators of malicious activity or policy violation.
• Perform initial triage to determine validity, severity, and scope, and document findings clearly.
• Provide first-tier response to active security events following playbooks and escalate with complete summaries.
• Review phishing attempts and suspicious email analyses, taking protective action when threats are confirmed.
• Maintain accurate records of security events and actions in the enterprise ticketing system.
• Coordinate risk and control owner reviews and remediation tracking.
• Support internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory assessment activities.
• Produce recurring written updates summarizing security activity and alert trends.
