Job summary

AGS LLC in Atlanta seeks a Security Analyst to monitor the security program, triage alerts, and drive governance, risk, and compliance activities under the Senior IT Security Manager. The role involves coordinating with IT operations, Legal, Compliance, HR, and business units to scope and verify remediations, and to produce clear written reporting for technical and business audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, IT, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years in a security analyst, security operations, governance and risk, or IT operations role.
• Experience with security monitoring tooling such as SIEM/EDR and ticketing systems.
• Ability to produce clear written reporting for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tooling, dashboards, and alert queues for indicators of malicious activity.
• Perform initial triage on security alerts to determine validity, severity, and scope.
• Provide first-tier response to active security events following established playbooks.
• Review employee-reported phishing and suspicious email analyses and take protective action.
• Manage email quarantine review and support email threat response activities.
• Maintain records of security events, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate user access reviews with system/data owners and track remediation.
• Review third-party security documentation and summarize findings for risk decisions.
• Drive day-to-day operation of the enterprise risk register and track treatment plans.
• Conduct control gap assessments against NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001; document gaps and remediation.
• Coordinate remediation implementation with owners and verify evidenced closure.
• Support audit, certification, and regulatory assessment activities with evidence collection.
• Present risk/status updates to Senior IT Security Manager and escalate aging risks.
• Assist with vulnerability scans and track remediation by system owners.
• Produce recurring written updates on security activity and trends.
• Contribute to security metrics and reporting for leadership and stakeholders.
• Support security awareness activities and phishing simulation exercises.
• Participate in tabletop exercises and post-incident reviews.
• Occasional travel throughout the United States.
