Job summary

AGS - American Gaming Systems in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Security Analyst to monitor alerts, triage incidents, and drive GRC activities across the security program. You will perform first‑level incident response, review phishing attempts, and coordinate with IT, Legal, Compliance, HR, and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in security.
• 2+ years in a security analyst, SOC, or IT operations role.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR tools and audit/support activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tooling, dashboards, and alert queues for indicators of malicious activity or policy violation.
• Perform initial triage on security alerts to determine validity, severity, and scope, and document findings clearly.
• Provide first‑tier response to active security events following established playbooks and escalate with findings.
• Review employee‑reported phishing and suspicious emails, including header URL and attachment analysis.
• Manage email quarantine review and support email threat response activities.
• Maintain records of security events, actions, and resolution in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate and support user access reviews; track completion and remediation of dormant or excessive access.
• Review third‑party security documentation and summarize findings to support risk decisions.
• Drive day‑to‑day operation of the enterprise risk register and track treatment to closure.
• Conduct control gap assessments against frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS, ISO 27001) with interviews and evidence.
• Coordinate remediations with owners to verify implementation and closure.
• Support internal/external audit, certification, and regulatory assessments with evidence collection.
• Present risk status to leadership and flag aging risks for escalation.
• Assist with vulnerability scan reporting and remediation tracking.
• Produce recurring security activity updates and contribute to metrics.
• Support security awareness activities and tabletop exercises.
• Occasional travel within the United States.
