Job summary

DK Security, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking an Operations Assistant to support daily security operations and staffing. The role reports to Operations leadership, coordinating with HR and site supervisors to ensure service delivery and staffing coverage.

The position offers a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm) with full-time hours and a $42,000/year base salary. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, Life, 401K, and PTO. Must pass background checks and CPL licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years in security management preferred.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying offenses.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and pass drug screening.
• CPL license or ability to obtain CPL is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations leadership in managing contracts and staffing.
• Monitor schedules; coordinate shift coverage with Supervisors; maintain staffing records.
• Perform security officer assignments; armed roles require proper licensing.
• Be a point of contact for employee questions and routing issues.
• Support client communications, meetings, and service documentation.
• Conduct site visits; report operational concerns.
• Assist payroll and billing with timekeeping and scheduling records.
• Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, training, and uniform issuance with HR.
• Maintain training records and ensure certifications are up to date.
